Pine Siskins
At a bird feeder Pine Siskins look drab -- small grayish streaked birds. When you have a bird in your hand though the yellow in the tail and wings is eye popping bright.
I live and work in the Sandhills of North Carolina. The primary focus of this blog is bird banding, gardening and the outdoors. I began mist netting in 2000 and run a MAPS station.
